Brother Allen was reached through the bus ministry and accepted Christ in 1981, at the age of 11. Miss Stephanie trusted Christ as her Saviour while at church camp in 1983, also at the age of 11. Both attended and received diplomas from Oklahoma Baptist College in Oklahoma City. Allen also received diplomas from Bethel Baptist College in Jacksonville, Arkansas.
Shortly before Bro. Allen and Miss Stephanie Copeland were married, they both began serving on staff at the Bible Baptist Church, Jacksonville, Arkansas. Bro. Allen served as the Youth Pastor, Children’s Church Director, Bus Director, and taught in Bethel Baptist College. Miss Stephanie served as the church secretary, taught Sunday School, was a bus captain, helped produce and organize the Regions Beyond newspaper, and other various ministries. They together served as the Deans of Men and Women of Bethel Baptist College.
In March of 2019, after serving 21 years as missionaries (see below), God led the Copelands to Central Baptist Church of Amarillo, Texas. Bro. Copeland served as the Associate Pastor until Pastor Chadwick’s retirement in September, 2020, upon which Bro. Copeland became the pastor. It is with great joy and excitement that the Copelands have stepped into this role. They are looking forward to what God is going to do with them and through them in the Amarillo area as they serve alongside such a great people at Central. Their prayer is that God will use them to bring souls to the saving knowledge of Him, that the saved will be challenged to live more for the Lord, and that all things they do will be to His honor and glory.
