OUR MISSION

At Central we have adopted a four-fold mission that we refer to as our church’s DNA.  Our mission is to: Worship God, Love Others, Serve God and Invite Others.

Worship God | We want every member to be a disciple who loves God with his whole being in accordance with the first and greatest commandment. Matt. 22:37-40

Love Others | We want every member to love others, the second great commandment. Matt. 22:37-40

Serve God  | We want every member to find a place of service and activate their spiritual gifts. 1 Cor. 15:58

Invite Others | We also want every believer to invite others to know Christ, to witness to them, and to invite them to church where they will hear the gospel. Matt. 28:19-20

These four things combine to make one a of a disciple of Jesus Christ.  These four things are our mission.  They are also the four things we want every one of our members to embrace because they are the church.

OUR BELIEFS

We believe the whole Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, is the verbally inspired Word of God and divinely preserved in the English language and commonly known as the authorized, King James Version of 1611 A.D. (II Timothy 3:16)

We believe Jesus Christ was born of Mary the virgin, and is the very Son of God. (Matthew 1:23)

We believe that Christ died for our sins. (I Corinthians 15:3)

We believe that He arose from the grave the third day. (I Corinthians 15:4)

We believe that He alone is the mediator and intercessor between God and man. (I Timothy 2:5; Hebrews 7:25)

We believe that in order to be “saved” the soul must be born again. (John 3:3)

We believe that every born again soul should declare his/her faith through baptism by immersion in water. (Romans 6:4-5)

We believe that Christ keeps those who are born again eternally secure. (II Timothy 1:12; John 10:28)

We believe that Christians are called to separation from worldly, sinful practices, unto a life of usefulness for Christ. (II Corinthians 6:17)

We believe a church is a body of baptized believers whose mission is to preach and teach the gospel of salvation. (Matthew 28:18-20)

We believe it is the church’s responsibility to send the gospel around the world by supporting missionaries to place we can’t go (Acts 1:8)
